For a client in the Oil & Gas sector, we are currently looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to support daily financial operations and maintain accurate records. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking transactions, supporting audits, ensuring financial compliance, and assisting in monthly reporting cycles. You will work closely with the Accountant and administrative team to ensure timely and precise handling of financial data.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or financial administration.
  • Proficient in financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and Excel.
  • Solid knowledge of basic accounting principles and tax compliance.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently and maintain confidentiality.


What will you be doing?

​As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial transactions of the organization. Your role will include recording and organizing sales, purchases, receipts, and payments in a timely and accurate manner. You will maintain ledgers and journals, reconcile bank statements, monitor cash flow, and manage petty cash. Additionally, you will assist in preparing invoices, purchase orders, and payment vouchers, and support the Accountant in monthly reporting and audits. Your attention to detail and understanding of financial policies and tax compliance will be essential in ensuring that all records are up to date and in line with internal and external regulations. You will also play a key role in maintaining proper documentation and ensuring all financial data is easily accessible for review.
