For a client in the international customer service industry, we are seeking a dedicated HR & Payroll Officer to strengthen their new operations hub in Paramaribo, Suriname.




Requirements

  • MBO+ or HBO work and thinking level, with at least 3 years of experience in an HR or payroll function.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • Strong knowledge of Surinamese labor and payroll legislation.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, including pivot tables and formulas.
  • Discreet, independent, and meticulous, with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities, enjoys sharing knowledge, and supporting colleagues.
  • A proactive team player with a continuous improvement mindset.


What Will You Be Doing?

You will independently and accurately manage the payroll processing for over 200 employees, maintain comprehensive personnel files (including contracts, amendments, and social documentation), and serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding salaries, absences, and administrative questions. In addition, you’ll track leave, suspensions, and absences in close coordination with Operations and Planning, support the onboarding of new hires, and proactively contribute to optimizing HR and payroll processes. You’ll collaborate daily with Talent Acquisition, Social Relations, and HR Business Partners to ensure smooth, integrated HR operations.
