We are seeking an experienced and strategic Lead Innovation Officer to technically lead, coordinate, and improve DevOps activities within the organization. This role combines deep technical expertise with team leadership, process optimization, and strategic contributions to IT and innovation.
The Lead Innovation Officer ensures the quality, security, and scalability of customer-facing applications (web, mobile, APIs), manages complex infrastructures and deployment pipelines, drives the innovation roadmap, and guides the DevOps team in their professional growth. In addition, the Lead Officer advises on the adoption of modern technologies and ensures compliance with ISO standards (27001/22301) in development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Innovation, R&D, or DevOps, including at least 1 year in a coordinating or leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams and coaching technical colleagues.
- Proven experience with complex infrastructures, CI/CD, automation, and cloud/hybrid environments.
- Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
- Hands-on experience with: Front-end, Back-end, databases and DevOps Tools
What will you be doing?
In this role, you will lead and coach the DevOps team while driving innovation through the design and maintenance of customer-facing applications. You will set and enforce standards for CI/CD, security, and code quality, implement modern tools and automation, and oversee infrastructure, containerization, and Linux deployments. You will manage projects such as migration and scalability improvements, conduct reviews and testing, resolve technical issues, and ensure robust back-up and recovery procedures. Additionally, you will advise management on technical strategy and collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to align with the innovation roadmap.
