We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to facilitate business development through customer contact, support the sales team, and ensure timely and accurate documentation for outgoing ocean freight. You will also coordinate import shipments, provide quotes, and maintain strong customer relationships to support business growth.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in the cargo industry
- Minimum of five HAVO/GCE/CXC passes, including Mathematics and English
- Freight Forwarding course is an asset
Competencies
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient in both Dutch and English
- Highly computer literate
- Strong communication skills
- Experience or course in logistics management is a plus
- Knowledge of ocean freight operations and procedures
- Geographic knowledge and GPS/GIS usage is a plus
- Familiarity with Dangerous Goods handling
What will you be doing?
You will ensure competitive and profitable pricing, identify potential shipment issues, and engage management and agents to avoid service failures. Regular telemarketing calls will be made to source new and repeat business, while managing cargo movement and customer communication. You will assist with cargo coordination, customs clearance, and liaise with the sales team for administrative support. Additionally, you will manage warehouse receipts, coordinate bookings, and ensure timely completion of all shipping documentation.

Customer Service & Sales
You will respond to customer emails promptly, provide accurate quotes, and manage bookings. You will coordinate cargo pick-up and delivery, investigate and resolve customer queries, and ensure timely, courteous, and efficient service.
Internal Process
You will enter warehouse receipts, liaise with shipping lines, and handle customs documents. You will also create and manage Bill of Lading documentation, liaise with the warehouse for cargo accuracy, and follow up on outstanding documents and payments.
