Job Title: Territory Sales Manager

Department: Sales
Reports to: Regional Sales Manager / Sales Director

Job Summary:

The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales, building strong customer relationships, and expanding market share within an assigned geographic territory. The TSM will manage sales strategies, ensure the achievement of sales targets, and collaborate with internal teams to optimize customer satisfaction and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Target Achievement:

    • Achieve and exceed sales targets set for the territory.
    • Develop and implement territory-specific sales strategies to drive growth.
    • Monitor performance against goals and make necessary adjustments.
  2. Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers in the territory.
    • Identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions to meet those needs.
    • Serve as the main point of contact for customer inquiries and concerns.
  3. Market Expansion & Lead Generation:

    • Identify new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
    • Prospect and generate leads through cold calling, networking, and other sales channels.
    • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to prospective customers.
  4. Sales Forecasting & Reporting:

    • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and provide regular updates to management.
    • Analyze sales data to identify trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
    • Submit reports on sales activities, customer feedback, and competitive landscape.
  5. Sales Training & Support:

    • Train customers and distributors on product features, benefits, and usage.
    • Provide post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Work closely with the marketing and product teams to stay updated on new products and promotions.
  6. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination:

    • Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, finance, and customer service, to enhance the sales process and customer experience.
    • Coordinate with logistics and distribution teams to ensure timely delivery and product availability.
  7. Market Intelligence:

    • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
    • Provide feedback to management regarding customer needs, market changes, and product development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Proven experience 3 - 5 as a Sales Manager or similar role in FMCG Sector.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

Preferred Skills:

  • Fluency in additional languages (if relevant).
  • Knowledge of the territory’s market dynamics.
