Logistics Supervisor

Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. is seeking a dedicated Logistics Supervisor to join our team in the Procurement and Logistics department at Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. As a Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the transportation and delivery of goods and materials to ensure efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide front-line leadership and direction to the Site Services Team in all aspects of site logistics.
• Ensure all team members are adequately trained and certified for their assigned tasks and equipment operation.
• Equip the team with the necessary training, tools, and equipment to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
• Manage staffing levels to ensure sufficient coverage at all times, including on-call scheduling for after-hours and emergency support.
• Oversee proactive monitoring of all equipment and lead investigations and resolutions of any operational issues to minimize disruption to mining activities.

Ideal candidate will have:

• Completion of Senior Secondary Education.
• Diploma in Facilities Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or lead-hand capacity.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations governing mining and milling operations.
• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
• Willingness to work on a rotational weekday schedule in Paramaribo.
