The primary role is to ensure that only patrons that hold tickets enter an event.
This list is meant to be representative, not exhaustive. Some incumbents may not perform all the duties listed while in other cases related duties may also be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Selling or collecting tickets: Sell or collect tickets, passes, memberships at athletic events.
- Verifying tickets: Check the authenticity of tickets and passes.
- Helping patrons: Help patrons find seats, locate restrooms and assist with special needs.
- Cleaning: Clean facilities and place debris in trash receptacles.
- Counting tickets: Count and record the number of tickets that are collected.
- Refusing entry: Refuse entry to people without tickets or passes, or to people not allowed entry to the facility.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED.
REQUIRED LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- CPR/First Aid may be required.
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Criminal background clearance
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Able to climb stars and assist people in wheelchairs.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Athletic Director and works in partnership with Middle/High School administrators.
